Quadfire is a squad-tactics game made by JP Green Studios ("we"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and your choices. We keep it to what the game needs to work.
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Your Google Play Games player ID and name | To sign you in (your progress is saved to your Play Games account, on any device) -- there are no passwords or emails. Your Play Games name is your username. |
| Your username | Shown to other players: on leaderboards, in matches, tournaments, chat and friends lists. |
| Chat messages: messages in chat rooms, match and party chat, and direct messages between players | To deliver them. They are stored on our server so players can see recent messages, and so our staff can review them to keep players safe (see below). |
| Game data: your squad and loadouts, credits and what you own, match results, ratings and rankings, challenges, tournament entries, your friends list and parties | To run the game: save your progress, matchmaking, leaderboards, tournaments and rewards. |
| Activity records: when you sign in, matches played, purchases and rewards, and the game version you use | To keep the game fair and working (preventing cheating, fixing problems, supporting you). |
| Feedback you choose to send from the game: what you write, with your username, rank, faction, clan and game version, and your device's model, system, screen size and language | To read it, answer problems and improve the game. Only our staff see it. |
| Technical data: your IP address, in our server's connection logs | Needed to connect you to the game server and to protect it from abuse. |
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or anything outside the game. We use no analytics. We never sell your information.
The game shows ads from Google AdMob: an ad between some matches, and ads you choose to watch for a few credits. To show and measure ads, Google collects information from your device, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions, as described in how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK and EU), the game asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Account & Privacy → Ad choices. You can also reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your phone's settings. When you watch an ad for credits, Google tells our server the ad was watched (with your game account's ID) so the credits can be added. A one-off "No ads" purchase removes the ads between matches.
If the game offers in-app purchases, payments are handled by Google Play. We receive only a confirmation of what was bought (so the item can be added to your account) -- never your card or payment details.
Other players can see your username, rankings, match results against them and your chosen cosmetics and title, and the messages you post in chat rooms (a direct message is seen by the player you send it to). Everything else is private to you and us.
Chat moderation. To protect players from abuse, harassment and scams, our moderators can see messages in chat rooms, and our administrators can review any player's chat, including direct messages -- for example when a message is reported. Every such review is recorded. Moderators can time out or ban players from chat; when they do, it is shown in chat.
Our game server is hosted in the United Kingdom by OVHcloud, who store the data on our behalf and may not use it for anything else. We share information with others only if the law requires it.
Your account and progress are kept while you play. Other records are deleted automatically:
You can delete your account and all its data at any time: in the game (Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete account), or by emailing us at jpgreenstudios@gmail.com with your username (the steps: api.jpgreenstudios.com/delete-account). To see a copy of your data, email us the same way. Deleting your account removes your progress, the credits and looks you bought, and your rankings permanently; only the purchase records described above are kept. If you are in the UK or EU you also have rights under data-protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR), including to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Quadfire is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will be announced in the game.
